ASSESSMENT/MOCK FAQs
WHAT SHOULD WE BRING?
Please ensure your child has a snack and drink during the breaks. Sharp pencils and rubbers will be provided at the centre, but you can bring a writing pen and ink eraser for creative writing tasks.
WHEN WILL WE GET THE RESULTS?
Results are available within two weeks from the day of the assessment/mock. A results date will be published online and sent in the newsletter.
CAN WE GET HOLD OF THESE PAPERS ELSEWHERE?
The papers we use are written in-house and are not commercially available anywhere else. We have collated many years’ worth of statistics on how children have performed in these tests, giving us unique insight into the historic ability levels of children within our community.
WHAT WILL THE REPORT LOOK LIKE?
It will take the form of an individual report made up of the results of each paper with recommendations for each subject.
For the assessment, you will get a raw score, percentage score, and cluster forecast.
For the Mocks, you will get a raw score, standardised score, and an 11-plus pass forecast.
(Please ensure we have your current contact details, so we can send them to the right place.)
CAN WE COME AND VIEW THE PAPERS?
Papers must remain on the premises but we offer a 15-minute free post-assessment consultation to parents wanting to discuss reports. Such consultation is available upon demand – please contact our office to book.
1:1 “paper walk-throughs” are also available to book at £25 per hour for those who would like to go through specific questions.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK TWO MOCK EXAMS?
If you are looking to book both the Kent and Medway Mock for Spring and or Summer, you must book them on two different dates as children cannot be expected to sit two exams in the same day.
CAN WE STILL BOOK EVEN THOUGH WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY ATTENDING ANY COURSES?
External pupils are welcome, though we advise not to enter children into our Mocks if they have not been revising an 11-plus course. External pupils will have to register before booking (this is free of charge).
